Nestor: Is there a bottom for the Baltimore Orioles?
-
-
-
Luke: It's over as the Twins complete a three-game sweep and the season sweep with a 4-0 shutout at Camden Yards today. The Orioles (15-27) are 12 games under .500 for the first time since the end of 2021, a year in which they finished 52-110. A wretched season continues.
-
-
-
Luke: After Chris Paddack blanked the Orioles for seven innings on 89 pitches, the Twins will now turn to Louis Varland for the eighth.
-
-
-
Luke: The 3-4-5 part of the Orioles lineup goes in order in the last of the seventh. The Twins lead 4-0 and are nearing a sweep that would make them 6-0 against Baltimore this season.

Luke: A Royce Lewis RBI single makes it a 4-0 lead for Minnesota with one out in the seventh. That'll be all for Sugano, who threw a career-high 103 pitches. Two homers in the third inning hurt him, but the Orioles haven't exactly helped him much.

-
Luke: Tomoyuki Sugano has reached the 100-pitch mark for the first time this season. #Orioles

-
-
Luke: Adley Rutschman and Ryan O'Hearn both reach to lead off the last of the fifth, but Tyler O'Neill and Cedric Mullins strike out and Emmanuel Rivera grounds out. Minnesota leads 3-0 over the Orioles.
-
-
-
Luke: With the Orioles trailing 3-0 in the fourth, Ryan Mountcastle doubles off the right-field wall and is thrown out trying to stretch it to a triple with one out. This team, man.
-
-
-
-
Luke: And now Byron Buxton homers on the next pitch. The Orioles trail 3-0 in the third.
-
-
-
Luke: Stop me if you've heard this one, but a No. 9 hitter takes an Orioles pitcher deep. DaShawn Keirsey's two-run shot to right gives Minnesota a 2-0 lead in the third.
-
-
-
Luke: Tomoyuki Sugano has retired the first six Minnesota hitters. Upon retiring the side in the second, he waited in front of the Orioles dugout to greet and thank Mullins for the highlight catch.

Today's Orioles lineup: 2B Holliday 1B Mountcastle SS Henderson C Rutschman DH O'Hearn RF O'Neill CF Mullins 3B Rivera LF Kjerstad SP Sugano

Luke: For the second straight year, the Ravens will open the season against the team that ended their previous one. Five games against 2024 playoff teams in the first six weeks won't be easy. Neither will road games at Green Bay and Pittsburgh to conclude the regular season.
-
-
-
Luke: Remember when the Orioles bullpen was somewhat decent the first few weeks of the season?
-
-
-
Luke: A crooked number on the board? Well, I'll be. #Orioles

Derrick Henry agrees to two-year, $30 million extension with Ravens through 2027: https://t.co/wMUGRPMjC9

-
Luke: The Orioles sure are finishing this one in Orioles fashion.
-

-
Eric DeCosta earlier this offseason on the possibility of extending Derrick Henry: "We have a picture of Derrick going up on my wall, so what does that tell you?” #Ravens
-
-
-
Luke: Dean Kremer did not respond well to being staked to a 3-0 lead. Yikes. #Orioles
