@Nick930Gaming @DestinLegarie As the guy in charge of Map Genie and IGN Maps, I can tell you lots of people look at a map on their phone while playing. :) But it'd definitely be more convenient if it was just built into the game.

@DestinLegarie You know, Nintendo's been pretty clever with their game assist features. From parents being able to point a second Wiimote at the screen and shoot sparklies to "would you like me to finish the level for you" help for kids... But yeah, this instrumentation looks pretty cool!

@smobocop Yeah, it's all more expensive than I thought it'd be -- hopefully not a repeat of the 3DS launch. But then, perhaps Steam Deck demand and pricing have shown them it's a different story with higher-powered devices.

@Coldgamr I thought for sure that was the free "not-quite-a-game" thing, a la AR cards or Metroid Prime Hunters demo. They're definitely trying to offset some hardware (and potential variable tariffs?) costs here.

@healfest Nintendo rarely prices higher than the competition -- so that's either where the industry is going or it's not representative of all their games pricing.

@Nintentoast It's hard to draw conclusions because they're also clearly trying to push people to buy the bundle. But we all dreaded price points going up -- in the past, the "GameStop Lobby" was so powerful nobody dared to price physical games higher.

@manu_berbesi Yeah, but Donkey Kong was way overdue. Plus, the next Universal movie is focusing on DK, so they want to do some mascot care/get that series to be as big as Mario.

Loved today's Switch 2 presentation. A new 3D adventure for Donkey Kong -- and Kirby Air Ride returning are great surprises, but they also crucially demonstrated strong third-party support (including a new game from FromSoftware!). PS: more amiibo?!

OK, Mario Kart (Open) World, voice chat, 4K, 120hz screen. I'm feeling pretty good about Switch 2. You? (Also: that Mario Kart water has me wanting a new Wave Race!)
